A clinical update on Primary Aldosteronism; Are we seeing only the tip of an iceberg?

Primary Aldosteronism (PA) is a common form of secondary hypertension, often undiagnosed, untreated, and overlooked leading to excess cardiovascular morbidity mortality. Until recently it being recognized as binary disease. Recent evidence suggests PA disease spanning continuum from subclinical stages more florid manifesting Conn’s syndrome. Timely diagnosis appropriate surgical intervention can cure hypertension in whereas reduce hypertension-related target organ damage mortality associated with aldosterone excess. Unfortunately, most clinicians are still the dark regard pitfalls diagnosing PA, thus detecting only tip iceberg.
